The Holistic ApproachWith a holistic approach, it is the patient, or client, who is at the centre of the treatment rather than the disease or its presenting symptoms. Each person is different, with unique symptoms, needs and conditions. The client is an integral part of the healing process…the therapies aim to give the client responsibility for helping to restore their body to its optimum level of health and well-being, both physical and emotional. The holistic appraoch helps clients to look at their lifestyle patterns alongside their physical or mental symptoms, allowing the restoration of balance through the self-healing capacities of the body itself. Thus each treatment begins with a brief consultation, which allows both parties to assess current needs and agree on a suitable course of action, which may well be different each time. |
